The VPN Service provides a secure method to connect to the University campus network regardless of where you are connecting from (e.g. wireless/internet). The VPN Service is available to all staff with a valid University usercode.
Access to the service can also be provided for support, research and other non-standard useage. Requests for this form of access must be submitted via the Helpdesk.
Before using this service you must agree to the SHU IT Regulations.
In order to comply with with our ISP's Acceptable Use Policy and with legislation, the University will not permit the use of the VPN to unlawfully circumvent blocks on certain internet content in place in other countries.
Members of staff with a University supplied laptop (Windows Managed Desktop) will already have the AnyConnect VPN Client installed. If the old client is still installed on your laptop, this will be automatically updated soon.
